In the Graduate School of Education (Master's Program), the aim is to train students in the theory of educational research, to develop their creativity, and to promote a deeper understanding of their particular academic discipline.
The Division of Advanced Professional Development in Education (Professional Degree Course) offers training in systematical advanced professional knowledge regarding school management or students' counseling for teacher leadership candidates, and aims to develop influential teachers who have powerful leadership and performance competencies to support modern Japanese schools. Furthermore, the United Graduate School of Education, which offers a three-year Doctoral Program, has been established through the cooperative efforts of Tokyo Gakugei University, Saitama University, Chiba University and Yokohama National University. Many alumni are working in universities and institutes as researchers and professors.
