Visit from the King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT)

On 27 November 2023, a delegation from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, led by President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Saetia visited Chiba University and had a discussion with Prof. Haruaki Nakaya, Interim President, Prof. Makoto Watanabe, Executive Vice President, and our faculties.
King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi is one of the leading engineering universities in Thailand. Chiba University established a departmental agreement (School of Bioresources and Technology of KMUTT and Faculty of Horticulture of CU) in 2004 and expanded it to a university-level agreement in 2013. In addition to exchange programs, we have continued a variety of student and faculty exchanges over the years, including the Double Degree Program, the TWINCLE Program, and the Social Design Initiative (SDI) Program.
During the visit, we exchanged views on further development of collaborations and held a signing ceremony for the agreement renewal. This visit was a meaningful opportunity for both universities to reaffirm the importance of strengthening future cooperation.
