Students from China joined Japanese Horticulture Summer Program

Students from Nangjing Agricultural University in China joined "Japanese Horticulture Summer Program" at Chiba University during 31th July-6th August 2017.

The purpose of this program is to understand both historical floriculture and the latest technologies of urban greening in Japan. Associate Professor Nagase (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) conducted special lectures and workshops under the supervision of Professor Takagaki (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences).

In addition, participants visited some laboratories with Chiba University students at Graduate School of Horticulture and Center for environment, Healthand Field Sciences. They also had several field tours such as urban greening around Tokyo station, plant factories, flower market auction and Japanese historical gardens. On the last day of the program, they made final presentations to exchange their opinions and deepen their knowledge. All participants enjoyed various activities during the week in Japan.
