Students from China joined Food Safety Short Program at Chiba University

Students from five universities in China joined "Food Safety Short Program" at Chiba University during 29th January - 2nd February 2018. The purpose of this program is to understand the latest technologies of food safety and horticultural facilities in Japan.

Professors from Graduate School of Horticulture and guest lecturers conducted special lectures and workshops under the supervision of Professor Takagaki (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences). In addition, participants visited Food and Agricultural Materials Inspection Center (FAMIC) and facilities at Center for environment, Health and Field Sciences to deepen their knowledge.

On the last day of the program, each group made a final presentation to announce the results of studies. Chiba university professors and exchange students from China also joined the class and exchanged their opinions. All participants enjoyed various activities during the week in Japan.
