【Thorough infection control】A message to all students from Kotaro Yokote, Director of Chiba University Hospital

2021.09.08

I am Kotaro Yokote, Director of Chiba University Hospital
I have a message to all students.

Currently, the medical setting is undergoing emergency response.
The number of coronavirus patients is increasing, the beds are filled up, emergency transportation is refused, scheduled surgery is postponed, and regular medical care is restricted, which is exactly the situation at the time of disaster.
The infectivity of the Delta strain is much stronger than that of the conventional strain, and it is not only easy to transfer, but we have witnessed cases where it becomes severe even in the 20s.
People who have been vaccinated twice are also infected.

Many of the causes of infection are "unmasked meal conversations."
I would like to ask all the students to make sure to eat silently.
Be sure to wear a mask if you would like to chat.
Be sure to wear a non-woven mask that has higher performance compare to the one of urethane or cloth, and wear it correctly without sticking out your nose.

You can find plain explanations of Delta strains and infection control at URL below. Please share it with your friends, family, colleagues at circles or laboratories, and more.
