Visit from Burapha University

On November 20, 2025, Asst. Prof. Pusit Kulkasem, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics, and the delegation from Burapha University visited Chiba University. They held discussions with President Koutaro Yokote, President of Chiba University; Prof. Wenwei Yu, Director of the Center for Frontier Medical Engineering; Dr. Michiko Takagaki, Senior Advisor for Academic Collaboration; and other faculty and staff members.

Burapha University, located in Chonburi Province, is a comprehensive university known as a key university in eastern Thailand. During the visit, they discussed short-term programs and research collaboration in the fields of engineering and horticulture.

Following the courtesy visit, they participated in the “Symposium on Research Innovation and Digital Technology for Health Science,” which focused on medical engineering. They also visited the laboratories of Prof. WenWei Yu and Assoc. Prof. Norimichi Tsumura, Graduate School of Informatics, and they engaged in active discussions and Q&A sessions regarding their research topics.

This visit was a meaningful opportunity for both universities to discuss further strengthening cooperation in the future.
